    Step by Step Guide to the Kettlebell 2 Hand Clean

    Step 1: The Kettlebell 2 Hand Clean

    The Kettlebell 2 Hand Clean is a very important movement because it is how we get the kettlebell to the chest and it opens up lots of other movements.  Start by lining up the malleolus, the ankle bone, with the horn of the bell.

    Step 2: The Kettlebell 2 Hand Clean

    Chop and drop the hips to find your hinge point.  Place both hands on the bell.  Pack the shoulders - roll the shoulders back and down.

    Step 3: The Kettlebell 2 Hand Clean

    Push the floor away explosively and slide the hands around the horn of the bell.  This is the finish position.  Stand tall.

    Step 4: The Kettlebell 2 Hand Clean

    Reset.  Park the bell.  Pack the shoulders then explode up and stand tall.  Slide the hands around the horn of the bell.  Repeat until your reps are complete.

    This is a video tutorial for kettlebell 2 hand clean. 

    This is a very important movement because it’s how we get the kettlebell to chest and then that opens up lots of other movements for us.  Things like goblet squats, things like press and push press.  So, make sure you learn this one. 

    You also probably want to have a look at sumo deadlift high pull, or kettlebell deadlift to learn the set up. 

    So, the 2 hands on one bell clean.  I want to approach the kettlebell, lining up the malleolus with that horn. 

    Chopping and dropping, hands on bell. 

    Deadlift:  I push the floor away explosively.  Stand tall and then the hands slide round the horns into this position. 

    Reset, park the bell. 

    Pack the shoulders each time, push floor away and then let hands slide around the horn to get me into this position, the finish position. 

    Reset.  Pack the shoulders.  Explode up and stand tall.

    From this position, I open up lots of other movements like goblet squats or presses, so make sure you learn the kettlebell 2 hand clean. 

    Your prime movers again are going to be your hamstrings, glutes, abs.  A little bit of the lats as well when you stand tall.
